As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the candidate will lead this strategic channel growth agenda for the organisation. This role will lead eComm Channel building task and anchor the efforts of a young Team to ensure delivery and consumer delight. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : To manage the E-Commerce Department in ways that facilitate commercial thinking, intense partner engagement and higher profitability. - Grow online sales on company's own E-commerce website, as well as through various online marketplaces. - Build and maintain strong relationships with Alpha sellers and key management of partner portals like Amazon, Flipkart and various other platforms. - Build key alliances with niche brands and portals for raising awareness on our brand and products to their dedicated and repeat customers, and also enabling sales through them by offering unique promotional schemes which are Win-Win for the company and alliance partner. - Operate in sync with the Organisation's growth aspiration and manage the monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for the Department. - Work closely with brand marketing and creative team on optimized social media presence, creative and marketplace ads with optimal ROAS (to vary by platform and by campaign/launch vs evergreen programs). - Act as strategic partner to extend brand campaigns/initiatives across partner networks. - Work closely with Agency Partners to ensure web experience drives conversion. Should be up to date with best-in-class E-Commerce technologies. - Responsible for managing the whole customer experience regarding eCommerce business including user experience, product availability, on-time delivery, and customer complaint management. - Establish strong, productive and collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners. - Demonstrate a commitment to self-development and developing other team members. CRITICAL COMPETENCIES : Desired skills and competencies of the incumbent are listed below : - At least 4 years of work experience in E-Commerce Sales & Marketing; experience in category creation is preferred. - Should be able to demonstrate success in previous assignments through leveraging connects at key management levels of E-Commerce marketplaces and getting better deals than usual. - Clear Sales focus with a bias for action and result orientation; experience in building this Channel from infancy is preferred. - Proven ecommerce analytical skills and a high commercial acumen. - Strong capability around developing ecommerce KPIs to drive improve performance across all areas of the customer experience: acquisition, engagement, conversion, and lifetime value. - Experience in independently managing Budgets and executing ROI driven performance, marketing campaigns with specific focus on conversion and referrals. - Sharp knowledge and understanding of SEO and drivers of Direct, Digital and Affiliate marketing is a must. - Ability to influence senior stakeholders, as well as work collaboratively across peer / partner networks. - Leadership skills with the ability to set the agenda and take people along and build capability within the function. - Minimum bachelor degree level, ideally in marketing and/or communications; MBA in marketing preferred.
