We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Cards Operations Manager to join our team and lead a team of 30+ professionals.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our card operations, including onboarding, settlements, chargebacks, fraud management, and reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of cards onboarding, ensuring a seamless and efficient process for new cardholders and merchants.
- Oversee merchant settlement activities, including timely and accurate settlements, report generation, and reconciliation.
- Manage the chargeback process, including identifying and resolving fraudulent chargebacks, handling inquiries (QMR), and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the entire cards operating cycle, including authorization, clearing, and settlement (ACE activities).
- Possess in-depth knowledge of various card products, including debit, credit, forex, and prepaid cards.
- Provide effective leadership and mentorship to a team of at least 30 cards operations professionals.
- Foster a high-performing team environment that prioritizes accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Implement and maintain controls to mitigate fraud risks and ensure the security of card transactions.
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices for cards operations.
- Analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities and implement process enhancements.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments (e. g. , Risk Management, IT) to ensure smooth integration of card operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in cards operations management, with a proven track record of success.
- In-depth knowledge of card onboarding, merchant settlements, chargebacks (including fraud chargebacks and QMR), reconciliations, and the overall cards operating cycle.
- Experience managing and leading a large team of operations professionals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and relevant financial software applications (a plus).
- Prior experience in the payments industry is highly desirable.
