WNS DecisionPoint - Leader - Product Engineering

The head of product engineering team, based out of Gurgaon, is responsible to lead the development and management of the roadmap of WNS- text analytics-based platform and award-winning social media analytics product.

Competencies : 

- We need an individual who can perform highly in a multi-faceted role - facets that include a very strong technical knowledge, awareness of emerging trends, business and commercial acumen. He/she needs to possess sufficient level of technical background to provide highly-credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.

- A very strong communicator, able to lead and facilitate discussions across many tiers at WNS

- Entrepreneurial by nature and comfortable managing teams in a fast-moving, results-driven environment

Responsibilities : 

- Determines customers' needs by specifying the research needed to obtain market information

- Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes

- Manage the appropriate development methodologies, and create the proper organizational structure to drive a high performing development team to deliver the products to external clients

- Lead and drive engineering strategy and direction, including short-and long-range goals and where to make investments

- Be responsible for overall headcount and engineering budget related to the products

- Develop and sustain a culture of passion, hard-work and innovation

Skillsets Required : 

- About 10+ years of proven expertise in software delivery

- Previous senior leadership roles in product or application development and engineering for high growth companies.

- Proven leadership of supporting large-scale software teams that have delivered great products on deadline.

- Experience in a multi-product, multi-application development environment.

- Prior hands-on experience in development in order to lead individuals and teams.

- Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies.
