Qualifications:   - MBA in Finance  - Likely to have IMC, CFA, CA  Experience & Knowledge:  - Knowledge of credit markets, credit risk and the investment process.  - Comprehensive financial modelling building and detail recommendation based report writing skills.   - Knowledge of bond valuation is desirable.  - Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven analytical experience  - Well versed with the latest trends in the global financial market and a keen interest in new developments.  - Good knowledge of MS packages e.g. Word, PowerPoint and Excel.  Role Purpose:   - As part of the Credit Research Team, integrate detailed fundamental research along with bond valuation on companies under the coverage universe, leading to value added recommendations for Fund Managers  - Maximising the effectiveness of credit research (timeliness and accuracy) and communication of investment ideas (written and oral) are the primary focus of this role.   - Undertaking independent analysis and making portfolio recommendations.  Key Deliverables & Accountabilities:  - Assist in the effective management of portfolios including valuations, technicals, and fundamental research utilising external systems and databases  - Develop robust working relationships with the existing Credit Analysts, Credit FMs, and other members of the global investment teams in overseas offices in order to maximise the effectiveness of investment research   - Work closely with FMs, suggesting and implementing improvements to the analytical and reporting process, respecting fund manager and investment process requirements and promoting consistency across Fixed Income areas  - Maintain open channels of communication and ensure that information flows within own team and across relevant areas; establish strong contacts internally and externally  - Liaison with the internal Investors Broker Review Committee   - Show flexibility in approach to research, and ability to adapt research to changes in market conditions / outlook  - Continuously work towards developing personal skill set within Fixed Income fund management with particular focus on portfolio analysis, and ensure that enhancements on Bloomberg or other systems are brought to the attention of the team   - Ensure that portfolio information received by FMs is substantially correct and timely.
