WNS - AVP - Business & Financial Research - BPM

Job Profile :

- Oversee the day to day running of the Business Research team comprising 50+ FTEs.

- Manage/lead a team while working on multiple Business/ Financial research projects at any given point of time. Conduct exhaustive secondary research qualitative/ quantitative data across secondary databases such as Factiva, OneSource, FactSet, DialogPro, Capital IQ, Bloomberg etc

- Manage process-driven and custom research assignments such as company profiling, industry snapshots, financial analysis, press search, executive profiling etc

- Understanding of industry dynamics such as KPIs and frameworks such as competitive landscape, SWOT analysis, Porter's Five Forces, to be applied across projects on market entry strategy, M&A due diligence, procurement analysis and market attractiveness studies; ability to assess the risks and benefits of alternative solutions

- Provide guidance for an efficient and high-quality functioning team; promote synergy and best practice sharing amongst resources, drive collaboration with stakeholders in managing high standards of communication and delivering best in class services. Provide guidance in methodologies, processes to enable enhancement of delivery

- Identify and resolve operational issues, clearly articulate potential recommendations/solutions to clients

- Ensure exemplary communication with all stakeholders including internal associates, and global customers through regular local and global updates with focus on accomplishments, KPIs, best practices, staffing changes, key events, etc.

- Be proactive in planning; anticipate change and act in accordance; drive meticulous implementation of team goals and metrics.

- Groom talent and mentor team members for higher responsibilities

- Provide input into performance appraisal of team leaders and manage the teams overall training needs.

- Work closely with management to drive overall productivity and growth within the setup.

P&L Management :

Knowledge/Qualifications :

- 10+ years of experience in business research, across industries

- Post Graduate degree from a reputed institute

- Knowledge of competitive intelligence domain and experience as a desk researcher including historical use of data sources

- Experience in leading teams of min 20+ team member with excellent management skills

- Strong Client facing/ stakeholder management experience
