Senior Consultant Corporate Affairs Alliances Job Description : - Act as a trusted advisor to the Head Corporate Affairs and the business heads and other related businesses by Monitoring the economic, political, regulatory and legal framework, gathering and analyzing information on developments or changes in policy issues that interest the company across sectors and industries in India and overseas - Track relevant sectors and Identify business opportunities for the organization. Identifying commercial opportunities in the Indian market, disseminating information and facilitating initial contact and introduction contacts for the Company - Monitor and review legislation and regulations related to the state budget, taxation & economic development issues relevant to large and small member businesses. - Engage with members of the Legislature and Administration to affect desired policies effecting legislation and regulation concerning the Central and state budget and taxation - Build relationships with team of experts of tax and economic development and other business groups as reliable sources of information and allies on various issues. - Policy Advocacy - Lead advocacy efforts for all relevant country specific governments, ministries /regulatory agencies and institutions - Develop and execute an annual advocacy plan that reflects business priorities in close coordination with business heads - Monitor the regulatory and political landscape for threats and opportunities to company's business and communicate this intelligence to business leaders and functional colleagues (including provision of up-to-date, clearly written analyses of such developments, showing the impact on the business, working out scenarios and recommending appropriate action) - Build knowledge of potential implications of local and global issues and coordinate their management with functional colleagues - Track and participate in the policy formulation of the upcoming policies with Government Department and Industry associations - Develop and maintain a network of officials in Government offices, Industry associations, other organizations - Initiating and assisting trade promotion activities helping the company to participate in group events (exhibitions, seminars, conferences, business meetings) - A self-starter who can spot new opportunities, driven and motivated by challenges and uncertainties. - Curious and inquisitive - Candidate should be able to understand existing and proposed legislations, amendments and Political and Administrative reforms which could impact Indian IT Industry and articulate Policy related documentation, representations and messages. - Excellent written and oral communications skills with proven ability to research, analyses and articulate complex legal or regulatory policy issues and solutions through white papers, representations, memos, executive summaries, Industry reports. Solid researching skills using internal and external web/internet searches. - Ability to interact and work under deadlines. Ability to prioritize dynamic workload and effectively meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, Calm under pressure. - Results driven with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a high risk/importance, fast-paced dynamic policy environment. Excellent problem-solving, negotiation and judgment. - Strong research and analytical skills to be able to give written and verbal answers and advice to complex business propositions - Highest degree of integrity, professionalism and discretion required - Excellent interpersonal skills in person, on phone, and by email and voicemail - Fluent in written and spoken English - Mature individual with ability to deal with Top Management as well as Senior Government Representatives - Positive, easy-going, Team player and high level of integrity.
