SUMMARY OF POSITION: - The IT Automation Delivery Manager as an instrumental pillar to the digital business strategy enablement is responsible for planning, development and execution of automation solutions including Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and intelligent automation solutions (the merging of RPA with more advanced automation technologies such as Machine Learning and Cognitive solutions). - This role provides administrative leadership and strategic direction to highly talented 5-7 staff members focused individually on automation delivery. Additionally, this role will provide dotted line leadership and direction to an additional 10-15 virtual team members that will be participating in a 2 year Enterprise Automation Program. - This individual must have prior experience with both the delivery of RPA solutions from all stages of the development process, from design to code level and the administrative management of team members. Additionally, this individual must have the ability to act as technical lead, solving challenges with technical team members and articulate these challenges and solutions to business leaders with suitable business acumen. - The role requires significant collaboration with the IT Enterprise Automation Director, the Enterprise Automation PMO leader, and the Automation Execution and Support leader. Additionally, this role will frequently interact with the leader of IT Engineering and Applications and other team leaders within this organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Core Accountabilities: 1. Responsible for creating plans, aligning plans with stakeholders, and then managing team members to implement those plans to achieve defined success measures. 2. Responsible for connecting applicable technology teams to solve Automation related technical issues that span across COMPANY's IT organization. 3. Responsible for identifying and proposing technology solutions as automation solutions advance in the event that COMPANY's existing toolset becomes deficient. 4. Responsible for setting a team strategy and related performance objectives and then managing team members to achieve objectives through one-on-one coaching, team leader meetings, and relevant written communications. 5. Responsible for identifying and escalating significant issues that are impacting automation delivery in a timely fashion so issues can be resolved without negatively impacting defined timelines 6. Must leverage RPA experience to provide recommendations to Enterprise Automation Leader. Will also leverage prior RPA experience to provide RPA specific coaching to virtual and permanent team members. 7. Responsible for job descriptions, recruiting, training and retention of automation delivery team members. 8. Accountable for providing the cultural environment to develop, deliver and drive improvements in new capabilities, standards, and ways of working in the organization.
