Global Presales Lead - Retail Vertical
A Strategic role within the Retail vertical of Wipro to lead the global pre-sales activities. This role is highly visible and will take the vertical to the next level of growth. As a leader within the vertical team, this role will work across sales, domain, and delivery units. A customer facing role to shape, lead, work and engage customers for growth and value.
This person will be a team leader and lead solution, architects, bid managers and bid coordinators globally.
- Lead the Retail team from the front in winning opportunities, managing growth pipeline, demand generation and large strategic deal from the front
- Bring differentiation to the strategic deal in solution, pricing, and service composition
- Work with sales and geo leaders collaboratively throughout the life of the deal
- Face the customer in different solution workshops, discussion and pre-sales activities
- Harness the full power and capabilities of the organization
- Replicate, Propagate and Innovate within the vertical unit and bring best practices to the pre-sales team
- Capable of guiding the sales and geo vertical teams on the solution
- Understand the broader Wipro capabilities, solutions and services and contextualize to the customer and market
- Engage in Market making activities and work with Advisors, Analysts and Alliance partners
- Lead Sr. Management reviews and discussions
- Ability to travel worldwide and engage on strategic deals for longer period of time
- Excellent customer facing skills including negotiation, pricing, SOW, transition and setting up of services
- Excellent understanding of IT services / global sourcing industry
- 15+ years of working experience as a sales, pre-sales, and/or delivery leader in Retail vertical
- Competent in one or many of Application Services, Infrastructure Services and Business process services
- Excellent understanding of solution selling process with advisors like ISG, Alsbridge, ATK, E&Y, or W Group
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Manage teams and guide them continuously
- Engage in HR, Performance management, Retention and Growth activities with the team
