Logistics - Domain Head
Role Dimensions of Domain Head :
Lead the Logistics Line of Business / Practice.
- Build the strategy and solutions for Logistics practice globally with overall responsibility for strategic business planning, innovation, product management & consulting
- Provide technology consulting to customers primarily in drawing up enterprise application blueprint.
- Grow and maintain a cohesive and high performance matrixed team of consultants, domain, delivery and sales staff.
- Develop and nurture CXO level relationships with current and prospective customers in the region
- Build product innovation, provide advice on the creation and execution of solution roadmaps, and development of new products and services and contribute to expansion of the solution portfolio.
- Create and build strategic partner/vendor relationships with several key industry partners and identify potential business opportunities for accelerating market reach, mutual growth and profitability.
- Provide transformational consulting for a wide range of logistics industry players such as Courier and Postal companies, 3 Pl logistics, Railroad and Shipping.
- Conduct strategic and financial analysis, build business cases, define and document new business requirements, develop sales forecasts and execute to plan.
- Develop and direct all global marketing activities for business unit including lead generation, trade advertising, trade shows, media engagements, industry forums, branding, marketing literature and other promotional activities.
- Lead all market intelligence and market assessment activities for business unit globally
Ideal candidate should have the following attributes :
- Should be a Logistics industry specialist for atleast 15 years. Or have significant deep-rooted experience in a heading the logistics domain as Practice head or Domain head.
- Should have worked in the functions of technology, CIO or business planning and strategy segments, if he/she is from the industry.
- Extensive knowledge in one of the following areas : (a) Third party Logistics and (b) Courier and Express Logistics and Postal (c) Railroad areas will be helpful.
- Should have experience in building strategy for building solutions/products, branding them to the market place through advisors and marketing team.
- Should have experience of building ROI for the solutions, blueprint for the products and should have rolled out solutions/products to get non-linear revenue or benefit to the company.
- Strong on verbal and written communication
- Comfortable in working with global team and rapidly growing business.
- Should be ready to travel on shorter notice.
