Wipro BPS - AVP - Platform Architect - Analytics/Big Data Analytics - Cloud

Responsibility

Platform Architect is responsible for architecting and maintaining the Base Insights platform. He/she is expected to help create a very performing and highly scalable architecture for the Base Insights platform, using the latest (stable) technologies available in open-source market. He/she is also responsible for defining the technical roadmap of the product, realize the same and continuously keep updating it to keep the product updated with the technology trend and evolving product requirements.

General

- BS/MS in Computer Science (CS, IT or other related streams only would be considered).

- 14+ years of hands-on Software Architecture, Design, and Development experience using Java technologies.

- Desired candidate must be a self-motivated, creative, and innovative individual with good communication skills. He/she should be able to demonstrate excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

- Ability to work as an individual contributor as well as a team member.

- Strong experience in architecting solutions around High End Data processing, Real Time & Big Data Analytics

- Proficiency in Java, Experience in designing Data Management technology frameworks around Java related technologies

- Experience in working with Agile Scrum methodology

Skills and Experience

- Experience working with Big data and analytics a definite plus using Cassandra and Hadoop infrastructure for analytics.

- Experience in working with Google Cloud Platform leveraging the Core Google APIs preferred.

- Strong conceptual and practical knowledge in building cloud native SaaS platforms.

- Should be well versed with Sharding and partitioning strategies and techniques.

- Experience with traditional relational databases as well as NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or HBase and MongoDB.

- Experience setting up streaming data collection, possibly using Kafka, Flume or Scribe

- Experience querying large data sets using technologies like Hive or Pig

- Experience integrating APIs to get at internal or external sources of data

- Previous experience setting up reporting platforms enabling your customers to easily analyze data

- Previous experience having leveraged monitoring and deployment technology to ensure availability of the systems you've created.

- Basic scripting skills using a language like Python, Perl and Groovy

- Familiar with Linux/Unix based environment
