WindStream Technologies, Inc. was established in 2008 with the goal of designing, prototyping and manufacturing affordable and scalable renewable energy technologies for a global marketplace. The Company has developed and tested the first-of-its-kind, integrated, hybrid energy solution and is now marketing and selling SolarMills- to a worldwide customer base.

The Company has recently set up its India/South Asia Operations under the name of WindStream Energy Technologies, Private Limited with the intent of servicing that part of the world with products manufactured in India under the close inspection of WindStream USA. WindStream will continue to manufacture and ship its products globally from its Indiana facilities.

Job Responsibilities

The role Business Development Manager would involve Sales, Business Development and Client Servicing for Rooftop Hybrid Energy System and Power Utility.

- To identify new business markets and generate leads for conversion.

- To make telephone calls to prospective clients, make presentation and generate business

- To find prospective clients, schedule meetings, pitch for Hybrid System Product / Plant, & Client Servicing part upon execution of project.

- Adhere to all quality standards and process for the acquisition of business opportunities.

- Biding and tendering for MW Hybrid System Projects, submission of tender and contract documents

- Communication with government department for faster closure of tenders

Provide regular feedback to senior management about marketplace and competitor activity.

- Contract Finalization and Payment Strategies before implementation of project.

- Develop effective working relationships with Prospective companies through regular meetings and identify and obtain further sales and business development opportunities.

- Market Research & Competition analysis

Prior-Experience & Requirements.

- 5-7 years of successful career in solar project development and/or business development

- Market strategy - assess market, target segments and develop market and plan to execute

- Financial Understanding - Understanding of economic value proposition analysis; project finance experience.

- Ability to develop and manage strategic relationships with parties involved in executing the project

- High level of judgment - can sensitively apply skills to select practical, effective courses of action

- Flexible and able to react to change in a positive, constructive manner

- Previous experience in negotiating with large-scale customers

- Absolute commitment for enforcing process disciplines

- Good professional communication and presentation skills, both written and oral

- Team player with empowering approach to management - a servant-leader approach

- Energy and drive to maximize company value, passion for renewable energy

- Self-directed, organized and self-motivated to accomplish goals

- Ability to multi-task and manage effectively in a deadline-driven, challenging environment - accurate and calm under pressure

Desired candidate Profile

- BE Preferred,

- MBA/Master Degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience in business development, sales in the renewable energy industry.

Technical Knowledge Qualifications:

- MS Office proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel

- Bid Preparation/management

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities required for performing assignment

- Specific experience in Renewable energy/solar energy domain.

- Sound technical background.

- Negotiation and execution skills at an external facing level, with understanding of customer expectations prevalent in the India market

- A strong desire to be a part of a rapidly growing business with an opportunity to progress.

- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communications skills

- Self motivated with the ability to work independently.

Work experience: Min 3 years to 6 years.

Travel:

Candidate must be willing to travel all over India at a short notice period.

Salary range - 4-8 LPA
