Our unique perspective allows us to see the critical intersections between talent, assets and ideas - the dynamic formula that drives businessperformance.  The Role :   - As a Software Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will play a leadership role in coaching and guiding engineering teams, across multiple product lines in the development of scalable and high performing enterprise class, global software platforms and solutions.  - This role requires an individual with a successful history of context switching between providing technical leadership, delivery focus and team management. This role involves spearheading engineering best practices, providing technical mentorship to other engineers and development managers, as well as partnering with application and system architects. Requires a strong history and passion for software engineering and application development practices and methodologies.  - From a delivery leadership perspective, you will partner with the Global Leader of Engineering & Application Development in ensuring the success of CRB programs and initiatives, at the same time being a strong advocate for the teams and managers. This position requires solid development skills,but also the ability to collaborate effectively with peers and stakeholders.  - The successful candidate will be a self-starter, resourceful and a thought leader; however will need to possess tact and a highly professional demeanor, with the ability to navigate a distributed, global organization.  - This individual will also evaluate team staffing needs and partner with the Global Leader of Engineering & Application Development in recruiting, performance management and associate development within the Engineering function.  Some additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to:  - Work closely with solution architects, program managers, and other relevant groups.  - Constant focus on continuous improvement activities, including the collection and trending of key data points, as well as defining improvement plans.  - Embrace and contribute to our Agile/Lean philosophy.  - Partner and collaborate with internal and external partners to build solutions that align to segment strategies  - Spearhead the successful adoption and execution of best practices including, but not limited to unit testing, design/code reviews, static and dynamic code analysis, technical debt prevention,cloud adoption, etc.  - Participle in the evaluation of emerging technology and tools with the understanding of how they can be leveraged across CRB initiatives.  - Oversee and/or provide hands-on assistance to special projects, as defined by the Global Leader of Engineering & Application Development.  Qualifications and Skills :   - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Information Technology field is required.  - 12+ years of experience in engineering or product/application development functions with atleast 6 years of experience in leadership roles.  - Leadership skills and experience in managing and influencing technology teams in a non-hierarchical environment.  - Ability to lead a team of highly skilled hands-on software engineers and/or application developers.  - Solid track record in building and maintaining complex software platforms.  - Candidate will have good interpersonal and communication skills, leadership qualities and be a team player.  - Experience working with the full Microsoft technology stack and with agile development methodologies is required.  - Excellent verbal and writing skills, including the ability to effectively communicate to nontechnical team members and leaders and the ability to proactively provide status on team successes, challenges and continuous improvement initiatives.
