Job description

As a National Sales Head-Pet Food at Wiggles you will focus on developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve your financial targets. Your responsibilities will include hitting annual targets, building relationships and understanding consumer trends.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base

- Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets

- Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts

- Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements

- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts

- Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities

- Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients' needs

- Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency

- Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board

- Develop strategy, sales infrastructure (IT, systems, reporting), and operational sales plan for the company.

- Conduct market research, fine-tune product positioning and drive the launch of the products

- Conceptualize, create and lead go-to-market campaigns and develop communication plans for customer outreach.

- Develop and control marketing & promotion activities and co-ordinate with digital marketing/advertising agencies and media to execute campaigns.

- Design, recruit and train the sales team for the company.

- Develop, operationalize and monitor robust online and offline sales channels/partners

- Review and monitor sales achievement vis-a-vis business plan and advice management .

- Develop a customer base, create and implement customer engagement plans, community-building programs, customer transitioning across products and services.

- Handle Pan India distribution channels for Pet Food and identify various other channels across the country

- Lead nation-wide sales team to achieve annual sales targets

- Conduct a thorough review of sales performance and analyse market trends and devise growth plan accordingly

- Manage and oversee daily operations of sales department

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual sales forecast

- Perform research and identify new market opportunities

Key Requirements:

- Proven sales executive experience, meeting & exceeding targets

- Strong & proven work experience as a National sales manager in the pet food domain

- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including CXOs

- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close & analyze sales performance metrics

- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services

- Experience managing a high performance sales team

- Demonstrable experience in developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions

- Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite

- Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills

- Strong communication and team management skills

- Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude

- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field

- MVSc/BVSc is an added advantage
