JOB PROFILE

Whitehat Jr is looking for a passionate educationist with a strong background in programming to join as Vice President - Curriculum. This role involves working with the latest technology tools like code.org, Blockly, Scratch to develop the world's finest coding curriculum for children between the age of 6 to 16. The curriculum VP will focus on developing students- computational thinking skills and activity-based learning. This role also includes writing well-structured detailed lesson plans for the above-mentioned curriculum and training teachers on implementing the same on a large scale. It provides educators an opportunity to share their expertise at a global scale with thousands of children and hundreds of educators.

JOB DESCRIPTION

- Designing the world's finest curriculum on teaching 21st-century skills to students using coding as the medium.

- Develop the Curricular Vision and Course Plan to impart coding skills to kids across different grades with clearly defined Outcomes and Assessment methodologies for the same.

- Completely own the performance for the Curriculum in terms of various parameters viz. Curriculum Consumption Rate by Students, Renewal Rates, etc and ensure a very High Net Promoter Score from a Curriculum Perspective as well as ensure Learning Outcomes defined are met.

- Identify areas for curricular or instructional change, working closely with the Teacher and Student Community

- Guide the Curriculum Team consisting of Curriculum Directors, Assistants and Instructional Designers to ensure that the Curriculum meets Top Quality standards and Curriculum Lesson Plan Delivery Targets are met.

- Working with a team of teachers on implementing the curriculum on a mass global scale and ensure that Teachers are imparting the Curriculum to the Students as intended.

- Come up with Ideas for upgrading/creating new sub-categories in collaboration with Marketing, Sales and Curriculum Research Teams

DESIRED PROFILE/SKILL SETS

- 10 to 12 years in Curriculum development with an excellent academic background, functional coding skills, and experience in teaching or developing a curriculum for top schools are preferred.

- Qualification: Engineering Graduate/ Post Graduate from premium institutes with Coding skills.

- An in-depth understanding of activity-based teaching-learning methods with a strong knowledge of pedagogies to teach 21st Century Skills.

- Deep knowledge of programming concepts like algorithms, loops, etc and prior coding experience

- Prior experience of curriculum creation and/or teaching in International School is preferred.

- Aggressive: - Take no prisoners- approach. The founder is extremely driven and aggressive, and the curriculum director should have the same all-consuming drive.

- Systems Thinking: Create strong and out of the box curriculum to build a rocket-ship.

- Multi-Dimensional, "Growth Hacker" Skill Set with a strong sense of ownership for work.
