White Brand - Head - Buying/Sourcing (8-12 yrs)
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated 'Buying Head' to lead our procurement efforts.
The candidate must have worked in Buying Houses/Procurement/ merchandising teams and should. be adept in managing a team of buyers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sourcing Strategy:
- Collaborate with the research team to define product needs and specifications.
- Source products at targeted prices from verified suppliers.
2. Supplier Repository:
- Establish and maintain repository of credible suppliers to build a network.
- Negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
- Continuously evaluate and manage supplier performance.
3. Order Placement and Inventory:
- Coordinate bulk order placements for timely procurement.
- Implement effective procurement processes to procure within the set timelines.
4. Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team.
- Delegate tasks effectively to achieve team goals.
- Ensure team alignment with company objectives.
5. Quality Assurance:
- Establish and enforce quality control standards.
- Resolve quality-related issues with suppliers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field (master's preferred).
- Minimum 8 years of procurement experience with 2-3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of product sourcing and supplier hunting.
- Strong team leadership and management skills.
- Great negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach.
