Job Purpose :  To manage the overall IR, Statutory and employee welfare activities which includes Negotiations with the union, Long term settlements, Contract labour management and other IR related activities.  Roles & Responsibilities:   1. Developing and maintaining harmonious, progressive and proactive employee relations in the plant through two way communication and employee involvement.  2. Build trust and relationship with the Union through  a. Conduct of Monthly / weekly meeting with the Union.  b. Redress their grievances as & when required.  c. Induce positive work culture.   3. Participate in negotiations with Union, Industrial court matters, conciliation proceedings or any such process covered under labour laws.  4. Implementation of Long term IR strategy.  5. Comply and ensure 100% statutory compliance across the plant as per the various statutes and monitor the same on weekly/monthly basis.  6. Enforce employee discipline and Initiate disciplinary actions for all misconducts.  7. Liasoning with Government agencies, Labour department and factory inspectorate.  8. Formulate and administer labour relations policy, subject to top management guidance and approval.  9. Conduct Periodical meeting with the Contractors to ensure statutory compliance & TEI across the contract work force.  10. Responsible for managing the entire employee welfare and administration including Security, Canteen, Time office etc.  11. Responsible for the Flexi workforce management including the temporary and contractual workforce.  Key skill sets Required:  - Upto date knowledge on Labour laws.  - Experience in handling IR situation/ union & conflict management.  - Excellent communication & negotiation skills  - Result & Achievement Orientation  - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Tamil & English.
