Opportunity for an AML Compliance Manager - Mumbai

Do you have solid understanding of Anti-Money Laundering Regulations within the Financial Services Industry? Are you interested in working for a global fintech company and joining a robust Compliance Management team?

We're seeking an AML Compliance Manager for our Mumbai, India office. In this role, you will provide significant contributions to the development, implementation and enforcement of AML compliance policies, procedures, and programs designed to minimize potential money laundering risk for Western Union and its affiliates, within the established strategies of the AML Compliance Department.

- Maintain prompt reporting and good relationships with regulators, law enforcement authorities and WU network agents

- Provide AML Compliance support to WU Agent partners of Western Union and affiliates to build programs that are in compliance with anti-money laundering laws as they apply to MSB

- Support agents/sub-agents' efforts to comply with company policies and procedures as applicable to AML&CFT

- Evaluate internal controls and anti-money laundering compliance programs for WU Agent partners through transaction analysis, reviews and training sessions and implementation of review findings and communicating the review assessments to the appropriate internal management

What you will need to succeed:

- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline is required

- 7 years of experience in a Compliance / Risk Management function out of which at least 2-3 years- experience in a management/supervisory position with multiple direct reports

- Excellent knowledge of local regulations and regulatory reporting requirements

- Proven track record of complex problem solving and decision-making ability as well as ability to build and enforce programs and policies with the intent of meeting KYA and KYC and due diligence requirements

- Fluency in English and Hindi languages, both reading and writing, is a must.

- Experience in complex retail/consumer financial services/payment services organizations with multiple financial products

- Professional certification in AML compliance

- Strong experience interacting with senior management, regulatory agencies including law enforcement agencies and the ability to work autonomously
