Principal Responsibilities:

Implementation of verification, validation, monitoring, measurement, inspection and other test activities:

- Ensuring raw material inspection, in-process inspection and final inspection carried out as per QAP/ITP, process chart, work instruction and customer requirements.

Calibration:

- Ensuring Calibration of testing equipments and measuring instruments.

Third Party Inspection and certification:

- Liasioning with certifications bodies and TPIA

Customer Complaint:

a) Analyzing quality related issues and customer complaints on quality related issues

b) Promoting the awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization

c) Closure of Customer complaints.

Supplier performance:

a) Ensuring the performance of suppliers for critical and non critical purchases and shall maintain the record and

b) Evaluation of Vendors based on Product Quality & Delivery."

Corrective and Preventive actions:

- Suggesting corrective and preventive actions of quality related issues on product and system.

Test Certificates:

- Issues the Mill Test Certificates and pipe annexure for the finished products after completion of all testing as per clients requirements.

Annual Budget:

- Preparation of annual budget consulting with respective department Heads and monitoring of the budget periodically.

Health Safety & Environment:

- Ensuring safe working environment and good housekeeping in the plant.

Manpower Management:

- Utilizing the optimum manpower to get the maximum output.

Training & development:

- Identification of training needs of the persons working the respective areas. Provide technical training within the department & other employees as and when needed."

MIR/QRM/QFM/WQRM/MRM:

- To participate in MIR/QRM/QFM/WQRM/MRM and discuss for the continual improvement and any modification required to improve product quality/process/system

Risk assessment and management:

a) Ensuring to identify and control risk associated with impact on product quality and delivery of product

b) Ensuring the actions required in response to the significant risk scenarios to mitigate effects of disruptive incidents. Also the mitigation plan shall be communicated to concerned relevant personnel and updates as and when required."

Audits / Client approvals / visits:

a) Preparation / facilitation for audits / client approvals / visit reports / other technical reports

b) Ensure timely closure of internal and external NCRs and audit recommendations for pertinent areas.

Legal and other applicable requirements for product:

Ensuring the identification of legal and other applicable requirements to which the organization claims compliance that are needed to achieve the product conformity.

Quality Management System:

a) Ensuring to maintain the documents and records to ensure effective planning, operation and control of its processes and compliance with specified requirements.

b) Ensure Implementation of SLAs and SOPs for all pipe Division

c) Coordinating of internal audit and management reviews.

d) Liaison with certification bodies and customers on matter related to the QMS

e) Closure of internal and external system NCR, process NCR and product NCR.

f) To ensure the process of internal communication for any change in organization structure, system documents, revision of specification/standards, authority, reporting lines within the departments, which can affect QMS."

Product Quality:

Ensuring the product quality as per the applicable specified Manufacturing Acceptance Criteria (MAC), Design Acceptance Criteria (DAC).

Verification, validation, monitoring, measurement, inspection and other test activities:

- Ensuring required verification, validation, monitoring, measurement, inspection and other test activities specific to the product and criteria for product acceptance.

Outsourced activities and verification of purchased product/ service:

- Ensuring the control and record of outsourcing activities, verification of purchased product and customer supplied properties.

Control of non-confirming product:

a) Ensuring and control for release of non conforming product under concession and taking the approval from the relevant authority or customer (where applicable).

b) Taking actions appropriate to the effects or potential effects, of the non conformance when non conforming product is detected after delivery.

Continual Improvement:

Ensuring continual improvements through the use of the quality policy, quality objectives, audit results, analysis of data, corrective and preventive actions, and actions of management review.

Technical Branding:

- Technical Conferences /Papers/Journels "Attending Technical Conferences ;

- Prepare/review of technical papers for various national & international seminars / conferences / journals / magazines.

Facilitate NABL accreditation related activities:

Qualification:

Essential: B.E/DME/B.Sc/B.Tech- Mechanical/ Metallurgy/ Materials/ Chemical,

Preferable: M.Tech.Metallurgy /M.Tech Mechanical, NDT Level II, Lead Auditor ISO 9001-2008 / CSWIP
