About EGS (Wells Fargo India Solutions) -

Enterprise Global Services (EGS) enables global talent capabilities for Wells Fargo Bank NA, in Technology, Operations, Knowledge Services, Risk Services and duly supported by Shared Services across India and Philippines. EGS business is spread across Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad in India and Manila in Philippines.

Job Specifications:

Role Summary and purpose -

This is a frontline management position responsible for the application development, maintenance/support, and project delivery for a portfolio of applications within Enterprise Risk Management Technology from EGS locations. The role encompasses people management, technical/ functional expertise, and relationship/ stakeholder management.

Responsibilities -

- Manage multiple teams engaged in development/ support of risk and compliance related applications

- Take ownership of delivery and manage multi-release, multi-complexity projects.

- Work in a matrix environment and build good working relationships with multiple stakeholders including onsite partners

- Able to provide effort estimates, identify resource needs, and enforces project and delivery standards

- Create accurate project plans, schedules, and ensure efficient allocation of resources

- Work closely with the team to develop appropriate technical design and approach for application development

- Review current status of system applications and prepare recommendations for improvements

- Assure deliverables are as per the agreed requirements, conform to quality standards, and are delivered within committed timelines

- Provides technical direction to the project team: lead and participate in design discussions, code review

- Instill best practices for software development and documentation

- Manage team of 20 plus Team Members with focus on enhancing their technical/ domain skillsets

- Motivate team members and promote a strong sense of code quality, extensibility, reusability and urgency

- Pro-actively identify talent needs, and plan for/ manage attrition

- Build a culture of continuous improvement within team and put together metrics to measure the impact of their efforts

- Ensure all the team related compliance requirements are adhered to

Essential Skills :

- Must be a self-driven, quick learner, able to work independently, and a strategic thinker

- Must have 10+ Years of experience and proven record of managing 20+ Team members

- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively across organizational lines and with virtual team members

- Strong relationship building skills

- Should have strong application development background

- Well verse in developing applications leveraging ASP.net, C#, SQL Server / Oracle

- Previous ownership of an application including responsibility for development, and maintenance

- Ability to actively engage business/technology partners, present, defend & challenge technical recommendations

- Strong demonstrated human relations skills to select, coach, develop, and mentor team members

- Ability to deal with a given problem scenario in multiple aspects (Technology, Talent, Process or Partner)

- Be a model for continuous improvement & quality as a foundation throughout entire process.

Secondary Skills-

- Experience in ETL, datastage, and SSRS will be added advantage

- Experience in angular, cloud based development/ migration will be desirable

- Experience in risk and compliance related processes within banking industry specifically operational risk (including vendor risk)

- Understanding of credit bureau processes and credit/ market risk

- Ability to foster diversity and inclusion and act as an effective change agent within the group

- Partner across teams to initiate, promote & implement best practices, drive excellence, and bring new methodologies/approaches to the team
