Our Why - The Future of Mobility in India is not Autonomous Cars or Flying Taxis but Electric Two Wheelers (E2Ws). - In the next 10 years, India will sell more two wheelers (2Ws) than any other country in the world. Over 80% of all vehicles sold in India are 2Ws. Therefore they cause majority of our air pollution and economic strain due to dependence on imported crude oil. Not to mention the significant recurring maintenance expenses that users have to bear. There has been substantial development in E2W technology (most critical being the move to detachable lithium batteries) and total cost of ownership is also lower than internal combustion 2Ws. However, less than 1% of new 2Ws sold are electric. - Welectric is building a digital ecosystem to manage the lifecycle (with focus on financing, maintenance and aftermarket) of all brands of electric two wheelers. We are sharply focused on removing the impediments for users and accelerating the adoption of electric 2Ws in India. We are taking an ecosystem approach and adopting elements of e-commerce and fintech in our innovative business model. The transition of the fragmented and real estate heavy ecosystem of Petrol 2Ws to a digital and organized ecosystem of Electric 2Ws is one of the biggest opportunities in India this decade. The Opportunity - Leader - EV Aftermarket Ecosystem (2Ws) - We are looking for a business leader with the ability to build a large pan-India business. The opportunity is to strategize and implement a new age maintenance ecosystem for electric 2Ws of all brands. The position is for the head or CEO of this business division. This is an entrepreneurial / Co-Founder opportunity. Minimum requirement: - Passion for Two Wheelers - Immediate commitment to switch to electric two-wheelers for primary personal commute - Entrepreneurial mindset to build something from scratch - Someone who looks for opportunity in every problem - Strong desire to do something meaningful and have an impact - Ability to commit full time within a reasonable time - Ability to see the big picture and re-imagine traditional business models - Based in Bangalore or open to moving to Bangalore Technical Requirement: - Electrical or Mechanical Engineer from IITs or another premier engineering college - Upto 12 years work experience in new age businesses like e-commerce, cloud kitchens etc. - Demonstrated history of managing large scale operations spread across multiple cities - Demonstrated history of managing disparate workforce, operations and supply chain - Demonstrated history of leveraging digital technologies to put in place strong operation processes - Ability to build a strong team - Automotive experience is good to have but not necessary What we offer - An experienced, passionate and gritty founding team - Basic cash compensation + Attractive equity compensation or ESOPS - A pollution free ride that will change the world around us or at least be a lot of fun - Of course an electric two wheeler
