Below is the job description for Senior Manager - Supplier relations at WeAreHolidays.com, one of India's fastest growing travel startups. WeAreHolidays (WAH Holiday Private Limited), a 2011 company, was founded with the vision of creating the largest marketplace for vacation options for Indians traveling abroad.

Its founding team has extensive experience of working at MakeMyTrip, and includes Engineers (from IIT & other reputed institutes), Management graduates (from IIM & other reputed institutes) and numerous souls who- ve traveled the road less traveled on their entrepreneurial.

Since its launch, WeAreHolidays has been in numerous national publications and media outlets including the The Economic Times, CNBC Awaaz, Corporate Dossier, Your Story, Tnooz, Medianama and others. WeAreHolidays has thousands of customers and is growing at a phenomenal pace in India. It is a venture-funded company with leading VC fund (Silicon Valley & India based) and prominent angel investors in India backing it.

The company has its offices in Gurgaon. As Senior Manager-supplier group, one of your challenges is to establish great supplier relationships and build the brand in the minds of on-ground service providers. You need to be a self-starter with a passion for independent, creative problem-solving, show strong ownership/commitment and have experience incubating and maturing a business in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Above all we- re looking for an - I Will- attitude over a - We Shall- one.

What we expect -

1. As senior member - supplier relations you would have to lay down broad strategies and processes for smooth functioning & scale up of the supplier engagement function

2. You would be responsible for taking critical decisions on supplier groups & negotiate working terms across different geographies.

3. You would be expected to keep track of the products that customers appreciate and negotiate for those products at even better rates

4. You would be expected to maintain ongoing relationships with various sets of suppliers

5. You would be expected to negotiate for best rates & availability for particular seasons and make them available for the internal sales team to sell

6. You would be expected to build and motivate a team that will work across the entire supplier engagement function.

7. As a senior member of the team, you would be expected to set the course, help in delivery of the function and communicate the same to the top management

8. You would be required to keep an eye on competition and see if similar or better terms are offered to WeAreHolidays by suppliers

9. Is an MBA from a tier 1 institute

10. Has good written communication and documentation abilities

11. Has strong inter-personal skills, intense curiosity, and a desire and ability to "get things

12. Is able to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic start up environment
