Reports to : GM-Corporate Logistics Location : Mumbai - The role will assist the General Manager-Corporate Logistics to develop strategies; manage systems to support process optimization and functional enhancements to continuously improve warehousing and Distribution performance indicators worldwide. - Serves as a functional expert in warehousing and distribution, develops policies and SOP's in storage, delivery, distribution and customer service. Aware of customs law and statutory requirements in different geographies. - Selection of vendors and agencies. Maintain good relations with warehousing, customs clearing, last mile delivery service providers and fiscal representatives. Updated with industry knowledge. Monitoring performance of service providers. - Opens new warehouses in various parts of the world as per requests of Group Cos. - Implements Digital Transformation &amp; advance SCM technologies - Should be familiar with the modern concepts of EDI, Bar code and RFID process for the material tracking and identification. Experience : - Must have experience in setting up Warehouses PAN India and managed them independently - Must have experience in Cold Chain warehouses / temperature controlled warehouses - Must have experience in logistics related functions, preferably within a multinational pharmaceutical or engineering company. - Managing internal or outsourced high volume warehousing and distribution from corporate or on-site distribution center - Experience with WMS and TMS systems and tertiary understanding of ERP, EDI and replenishment systems - Leadership with complex, cross functional projects including setting scope, reaching consensus, execution and presenting results - Knowledge in advanced warehousing &amp; distribution technologies and network - Solid Project management and problem solving skills &amp; expertise - Statutory/regulatory knowledge - Global &amp; Commercial acumen
