Warehouse Manager

Strategic (Contributory role)

- Ideate and bring in new techniques of packing or any other effective tool which could increase efficiency

- Optimize the space available within the warehouse to create additional capacity.

- Plan future capacity requirements

Financial (Direct Ownership)

- Assist Operations Head - India in preparing and manage the annual budget for warehousing and ensure efficiency improvements

- Schedule the expenditure, analyse any variance with the financial plan and devise action plan for correction

- Ensure that a monthly physical audit is conducted and a reconciliation of the book versus physical stock is done and updated into accounts

- Ensure that partner invoices are approved and payments are made in a timely manner.

- Control & reduce the direct cost through optimization and better planning

Operational (Direct Ownership)

- Monitor delivery of items from the warehouse i.e., sorting and delivery of the items is done as per the daily plan document in a timely manner.

- Ensure that items that are off loaded from trucks are stacked and placed into the warehouse as per daily plan in a timely manner

- Ensure that the sorting and delivery of the items from the warehouse is done as per the daily plan in a timely manner

- Monitor stock levels daily to ensure no stock out through timely requisitions for packing material.

- Ensure that tally sheets are prepared and verified for both the activities at the time of the operation

- Ensure that all required data including updating in / out warehouse is entered in the Relo smart in a timely manner

- Ensure adequate and timely issue of packing materials for packaging as per the warehouse instruction sheet and survey report.

- Ensure that the materials are received in a timely manner from partners

- Ensure maximum salvage of materials from deliveries and improve utilization of salvage material for reuse

- Verify returns from packaging partners to ensure that the materials returned are correct in terms of quantity and value

- Ensure that packing materials samples are sent for testing as per AOP for high consumption materials and other item once a year.

- Ensure that a monthly physical audit is conducted of all packing material and a reconciliation of the book versus physical stock is done and updated into E-biz (accounting software)

- Ensure that the crating, casing, fumigation and marking (incl. lift vans) is done in a timely manner and specifications are entered in ReloSmart.

- Ensure that the lift vans are labelled and organized as per company requirements

- Oversee the maintenance and operation of warehouse management systems and automated storage and retrieval systems

- Ensure that the general upkeep of the warehouse is in line with the FAIM as well as company policy and parameters.

- Ensure AMC's for all Warehouse and job site equipment are in place and renewals are tracked

- Review monthly MIS based on operational KPIs

Customer Management (Direct Ownership)

- Build, sustain and leverage long term relationships with key clients People (Direct Ownership)

- Recruit, develop and retain the team

- Ensure focused cascading of organizational KPIs into functional objectives and finally into individual KPIs and review performance against the same based on a set calendar

- Ensure timely goal setting, evaluation and training for the team
