Role Context: The Head of NEN - Ecosystem will help startups collaborate thereby creating an ecosystem of co-innovation and co-development. Creating of an Entrepreneur Ecosystem: In 20 cities around India supporting thousands of entrepreneurs that achieve 100% growth in 3-5 years. Responsibilities: Ecosystem development to include the following: - Mentors: Establish an average of 50 mentors (including vertical and horizontal experts) per city for a total of 1000 mentors across 20 cities. - Customers/Service Providers: Also, build 25-30 customer (prospects for startups/SME) and 25-30 service provider networks per city, in each of the 20 cities. - Global Entrepreneur Networking Platform as a mobile app. that enables connects, work-flow, user rating, among entrepreneurs and mentors, investor, customers, service providers. In your pocket social media access to learning videos, webinars, events, etc. (see included vision document). - Accelerators: Demonstrate successful model for accelerators for venture creation, startup hyper-growth and SME growth in multiple cities and build a replicable/franchising model for Accelerators and through Govt. partnerships/franchising create 3-5 accelerators in each of the 20 cities for each of the three stages of entrepreneurs defined above. Requirements: - Current or recent CEO of small and medium high growth businesses across multiple industry sectors (including but not limited to technology/software/ecom). - Very entrepreneurial, very driven, very energetic, very hands on. - Understands entrepreneurs; very customer centric, tech-savvy, good sales leader, polished, good presenter. - Effective operator with a consistent track record of delivering results, very good people manager. - Now, passionate about working for a philanthropic foundation. - A recognized leader with proven success as an entrepreneur or a business leader having launched and scaled several business units - Thinks, behaves, acts and executes like an entrepreneur: able to articulate and integrate vision, strategy and action plans; high energy; high sense of urgency; proven ability to overcome all obstacles to deliver the target mission and outcomes; ability to improvise and pivot as necessary to achieve the main mission - Very strong customer-facing skills: previous experience in business development and/or sales/account management with both government and enterprise, ability to evangelize and sell ideas, plans and solutions - Very strong problem solver and program manager: able to manage multiple projects and initiatives in the detail; able to analyze and address problems in real-time; able to make decisions at high speed, based on data and rapid analysis and insights; able to overcome obstacles in execution - Very strong talent builder: able to attract and retain top talent; able to build an effective organization and deliver results through tight management, KPIs, teamwork, empowerment and accountability - Extensive experience in deploying and scaling solutions with achievement and outcome orientation - Knowledge of partnering with the governments to execute program and influence policies - Broad networking capabilities and experience in building networks and partnerships to achieve business success - Strong executive presence with over 20-25 years of work experience with strong relationship building, leadership and communication skills along with analytical skills &amp; strategic thinking - Conceptually strong with an ability to translate objectives into strategies and actionable plans and excellent program management capabilities to execute and monitor those plans - Excellent writer, presenter and communicator
