Qualifications Required

- Essential. BE/B Tech –in any discipline.

- Excellent understanding of Indian and international wind energy sector.

- Project development, execution & Techno-commercial experience in wind power projects.

- Exposure in business development, liaisoning and strategic analysis.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Relevant experience in project planning, project management and execution of wind power projects.

- Desirable. Minimum 20 years experience in a similar role, industry & functions

- MBA- Preferable

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

PERFORMANCE.

- Business Growth. Development and execution of the wind portfolio of 1GW

- Leading the wind team of Wind Resource Assessment, WTG Technology, site identification, Project Execution and O&M

- Provide support to the finance team for raising project finance

- Project Execution. Project execution including planning, implementation, and commissioning

Daily Tasks: Key roles and responsibilities

- Business analysis and planning in line with overall plan.

- Rapport building with various stakeholders, Government departments, Regulatory bodies.

- Advocacy with respect to Regulatory Requirements, National/International Standards & Codes and India specific requirements and Liaison with concerned Governing Bodies

- Project Pre-feasibility / feasibility reports

- Site Identification for potential wind power farms, land acquisition

- Micro siting, Data estimation

- Wind resource assessment

- Project Land acquistion & Power Purchase Agreements

- Project execution including foundation, roads, electrical BOP, evacuation, assembly, erection & installation of wind turbines and quality assurance.

- Grid Connectivity Clearances from Power Transmission Utilities.

- Construction of sub stations & transmission lines.

- Electrical Infrastructure (EHV/HV Sub-stations, Transmission Lines) Development

- Understanding of various regulatory orders and policies in the energy sector.

- Ensuring necessary permissions, permits and licenses for the Project.

- Inputs in power purchase agreements, Open access, other agreements within regulatory framework.

- Ensure Compliance with regulatory Permits on Safety, Health and Environment.

- Expert inputs to tendering, contracts management, SCM & equipment negotiation.

- Inputs to identify develop and establish partnerships and alliances, with suppliers and manufacturers in the market.

- Understanding of new technologies, practices and associated aspects.
