VP - Vendor Management - IT - Inv Bank

A LEADING INVESTMENT BANK LOOKING FOR VP -VENDOR MANAGEMENT.

Exp: 10+yrs of exp

Location: Hyderabad/ Bangalore

Role:

(a) To manage the vendor Governance and Management, maintain relationships with IT vendors

(b) Engage with CIOs/LoB heads to understand the business forecast and recommend the right sourcing options

(C) Engage/interface with support functions like SCM, RM&C, Legal, TIS and other corporate functions from a ‘supply’ and governance standpoint.

Primary Role Deliverables:

1. Will be responsible / accountable for Vendor management and governance of specific IT vendors.

2. This team member will co-ordinate with various LoB points of contact to understand the business forecast.

3. Vendor selection - To analyze and recommend the right sourcing options from vendor standpoint.

4. This team member will act as the Single Point Of Contact for LoBs and other stakeholders towards disseminating status and act as an escalation point for LoBs towards resolving vendor related issues.

5. This role will be responsible to engage with LoBs, Corporate functions and OpEx team:

a. to understand the requirements/expectations

b. to educate on the current vendor engagements/performance

c. to provide sourcing options, cost/benefits and plans in order to help the LoB make the right decisions

d. work with Supply Chain to formulate MSA, SoW and Procurement orders

e. contribute to build the transition plans and schedules

f. Institutionalize the Operational Excellence and scorecards for vendors by engaging the Opex team. Monthly reviews and reports.

g. Facilitate Or provide oversight on the monthly billing/payment process

h. Provide oversight and resolve all Risk and Compliance issues at Vendor locations and ensure 100% compliance.

i. Co-ordinate the Risk & Compliance, Information Security audits.

j. Accurate and timely reporting to comply with the Govt/Fed regulations and compliance requirements

k. This role requires the team member to travel to vendor locations as and when required.

l. Conduct review meetings with vendors and stakeholders.

m. Look out for optimization opportunities and help achieve the same.

n. Any other activity which could come up in executing the above tasks.

Secondary Role Deliverables:

1. This team member will keep the management and stakeholders informed of the trends and patterns that will have an impact on business.

2. This team member will have a continuous improvement focus and will contribute towards service delivery improvements.

3. This team member will have to mentor and coach less experienced team members and may provide on-the-job training.

Individual Contributor / People Manager

Primarily an individual contributor.

Skills

- Degree in any subject (preferably Engineering) or measurable equivalent work experience.

- 10+ years of total IT/industry experience.

- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in Vendor management and exposure to structured project management principles

- Appreciation of Software development methodologies and different life cycles

- Ability to run phone conferences with large participation across the Globe.

- Experience in working in a Global environment

- Good analytical skills to spot trends, identify patterns and must be very fluent in using tools like Excel and PowerPoint.

- Good customer/stakeholder relationship management skills

- Good verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to deal with ambiguity/uncertainty and bring out clarity by analyzing the context

Preferred Skills

- BE/B Tech/MCA Degree Or other Graduate degree and Industry accredited certifications like PMP.

- Ability to handle complex situations.
