VP - Technology - eCommerce - IIT/NIT/BITS

VP Technology eCommerce, IIT, BITS, NIIT

Primary Responsibilities :

- Responsible for development, quality assurance, delivery, and operation of the Product suite

- Responsible for the recruitment, retention and development of the engineering team

- Perform as the primary engineering interface for B2B partnerships and our consumer portal

- Domain experience in digital photo, video and/or document management/processing systems

- Architect for the development large scale cloud-based infrastructures and systems with:

- 1+ million+ users

- 100 million to billions of records | files | transaction

- iOS | Android app

- Web front and backend

Required Skills :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

- 8 to 12 years expert experience in software engineering and production operations

- Management experience in a small to medium size company is a must

- Managed development team of at least 8 people, ideally in multiple locations and with off-site consultants etc

- Experience in architecting and implement cross-platform system | infrastructure (mobile iOS | Android AND web)

- Practical experience with AWS environment including DynamoDB | Amazon RDS | Load Balancing | Redshift | Amazon Glacier

- Experience with notification and event tracking infrastructures (Parse, Keen.IO)

- Demonstrated experience in leading, building, and growing an engineering organization

- Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills

- Expert understanding of all aspects of software development life cycle
