Position - VP-Strategic Distribution

Location – Delhi/NCR

Individual Accountability

Distribution

- Drive excellence in Distribution management and drive business growth for all product lines, urban and rural.

- Distribution benchmarking and adopting best in class practices to improve distribution health and performance

- Distribution Review mechanism for timely analysis and tight monitoring to meet business objectives in both rural and urban regions.

Distribution Transformation & Strategic alliances

- Development of innovative distribution channels for modern trade

- Building new strategic alliances to drive business growth and alternate channel development

- Building up of cross-sell capability across channel (particularly in line of the new sales org design)

Capability building

- Building capability in sales team through training and workshops to update product knowledge and enhancing sales skills

- Responsible for the interface with IT on a continuous basis

- Innovating new ways to enhance team motivation and building team spirit

- Competition tracking and benchmarking best practices

Rural Distribution

- Manage and drive the rural revenue growth

- Identify suitable markets / areas to expand distribution in rural India and work with circles for the implementation

Organized Trade

- To develop, implement and manage the trade activities strategy for the Modern Trade channels that aligns the channel targets with the overall business and marketing strategies and assists the channels in achieving their set targets

- Handle existing relationships

Shared Accountability

With Head, Distribution and Branded Retail

- Establish and monitor processes for Distribution transformation and creating excellence in distribution network

With the corporate

- Sharing best practices across circles and industry

- Interaction with circle around implementation of best practices

Role requirements

1. MBA from top 20 B-schools with more than 16 years total work experience

2. Has worked in FMCG industry – for at least 8/10 years in a Sales and Marketing role

3. Exposure to pre paid in telecom sector of over 3 years

4. Excellent interpersonal skills and stake holder management

5. Manage large relationships

6. Leadership qualities

7. Capability development and rural distribution would be an added advantage
