Job Summary:

Securities Operations broadly comprises of Cash Equities, Prime Services, and SPS Project Mgmt. Cash equities caters to functions for London, Frankfurt, and New York equities operations. Prime Services caters to Prime Brokerage and Securities Lending functions for London Equities Operations and consists of various processes - Settlements, Nostro & Depot breaks, Controls, Billing and Contract compare.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Daily management and oversight of functions performed

- Delivering cost per trade savings

- Maintaining a green control environment

- Building capacity for volume

- Minimizing operational losses

- Managing Relationships

- Typically has supervisory responsibility for staff and/or function within a department. Creates strategic business partnerships and leverage these to negotiate innovative and cost effective client solutions

- Actively encourages managers and staff to participate in structured development activities, both on the job and in the classroom, to enable adaptation of behaviour and thinking to the changing business environment

- Establishes strategic resource plans to ensure the organization has a highly capable and diverse talent base to meet current and future business needs

Business Acumen:

- Functions as a senior manager or technical advisor and contributes significantly to policy making and implementation.

- Works independently within own span of control.

- Leads the Resourcing of equipment or budgets, technical specifications and development

- Possesses a combination of broad technology, operations and process skills

Job Requirements:

Skill Sets Required:

- People leadership and development

- Structured Project Management background.

- Experience of managing in a changing environment.

- Development and delivery of strategic visions

- Structured Process Improvement methodology.

- Experience of managing large teams in a global environment.

- Ability to recognize high-risk situations and deal with them in a prompt manner, escalating where appropriate

- Minimum of 10-14 years of overall experience in large bank, with a minimum of 5 years in relevant domain.
