Position offered: VP-Sales (Industrial durables)

Position based: USA.

Reporting to: Global Sales Head

OBJECTIVE:

Grow the business in the specified territory by developing meaningful client relationships, expertise with client requirements and perceived client gaps.

Duties and Accountabilities:

- Meet or exceed Sales performance targets (Activity Metrics, Pipeline development, and business closed – cash-in), Accurately predict territory sales performance for the territory within +/- 10% measured monthly and quarterly; until the role gets more established, the initial responsibility will be to make 20 -40 calls per day, and 2-5 scheduled client visits or pre-scheduled calls per week; appropriately manage all phases of the sales cycles from prospecting, to writing proposals and contracts, closing the deal and collecting payment and ensuring appropriate hand-off to delivery engagement & delivery; documenting all client activity with sufficient detail in Sales automation tool (Salesforce).

- The candidate will work with the Research Team as well as with the client to create solutions that fit client needs. Also, this individual will collaborate closely with peers in the Global Sales organization internally, as well as become a member of professional business forums to meet peers, mentors, and new prospective clients.

Essential:

8-10 years Field Sales Experience preferred, but will consider less for outstanding candidates with past success record, understanding or direct interaction with Supply Chain and/or Procurement Organizations.

Desirable:

- Knows how to work in a home office/virtual office environment.

- Industry knowledge or past experience with territory (industry or functional) for which they are being considered

- Sense of urgency, accountability, trustworthiness, an interest and curiosity, highly self-motivated and goal oriented creativity and the ability to think quick on your feet.
