Role :

- Global Transformation Senior Project Managers plan, mobilise and direct projects of high complexity and scale from project definition to closure. They are responsible for the end to end planning and delivery of one or more projects proactively balancing scope, schedule, budget, risks, team, outcomes and benefits.


- Projects can be standalone or form part of a programme. They are responsible for deploying Global Transformation Project Management Framework and other Change Adoption frameworks within their project. They work closely with the Programme Directors to ensure alignment of their projects / programme with the wider change portfolio and the Group Strategy, Values and Behaviors. Senior Project Managers will often play a people / team management role within the projects / programmes they work on.


- As members of the Global Transformation management team, they will also have line and assignment management responsibility for a group of resources including line managers i.e., Alongside project delivery responsibilities, the Senior Project Manager may have a line responsibility for a pool of Project Managers (people management, performance management, resource management and professional development).

- Senior Project Managers are required to take decisions and lead change initiatives and manage stakeholder and senior management relationships. The jobholder will not be subject to close supervision, and will be expected to exercise independent initiative and judgement in proactively overcoming obstacles to success, dealing with uncertainty and changing circumstances, such as interdependencies, opportunities or risks. He / She will be expected to adopt an agile and flexible approach to work and an outstanding level of professionalism and conduct.

- The person is expected to have a strong understanding of business domain, it's strategic direction, functional goals, and the required technical & functional expertise at Global level. He / she is expected to make decisions, even with unstructured business problems at pace that balances the need for further analysis and the need for timely decision given business priorities / requirements.

Value Creation:

- Plans effectively around delivery constraints and optimizes the plan to maximize benefits and minimize risk. Ensures the baselined scope, requirements, benefits, schedule and budget are managed as outlined in Business Transformation Frameworks

- Proactively monitors project execution to effectively identify risks/issues/dependencies as they arise throughout the project lifecycle.

- Collaborates and builds positive stakeholder relationships providing regular updates, obtains buy-in from the project sponsor, Steering Committee and other stakeholders for all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements.

- Analyses management reports, and derives insights from them to drive the right business decisions

- Manages Change Adoption to ensure the change lands well and sticks, contributing to benefits realization.

- Be responsible for optimizing engagement between the Portfolio Leads in markets and the Global portfolios; Ensure the value stream /portfolio evolves/streamlines its delivery model to achieve the best possible outcomes

- Influences and collaborates with stakeholders and delivery partners, building strong relationships to ensure consensus and influence change outcomes. Foster open and honest communication which anticipates stakeholder expectations. At times, this may require the person to be adept at conflict resolution between Product and Delivery teams

- Transformation and execution includes leading a team of talented program/project managers, business analysts, and other delivery / business partners through agile implementation of the strategic objectives, This is a global role accountable for delivering business outcomes.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in leading large scale Business transformation programs, and other managerial experience leading diverse, geographically distributed teams .

- Strong understanding and subject matter expertise in at least 2-3 key Retail banking domains like Lending, Digital banking, Channels, Payments, Wealth, Regulatory & Compliance etc.

- Expert in change methodologies including but not limited to customer experience, digital transformation, Design-led change, including significant experience in Agile roles.

- Knowledge of project management tools such as Clarity/ JIRA/ MS Project

- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
