VP-Project Finance -Power/Energy

- The Vice President will be responsible for originating, structuring and executing complex Power & Renewables project finance transactions in India, Renewable including Solar, Wind, Biomass as well as transmission lines and related power infrastructure.

- The Vice President will work closely with the Power & Renewables Sector Head and will also be expected to manage, train and mentor the more junior members of the Project Finance Group during the deal execution process.

- The Vice President will work on multiple projects simultaneously and will primarily work on leading the arranging and lending (including structuring the transaction, leading the due diligence, managing the internal credit process, negotiating financing documentation, successfully reaching financial closing and monitoring the transactions closed) as well as Debt and Equity financial advisories for Power and Renewable projects.

- Key responsibilities include deal pitching, negotiation and execution experience across all levels of the execution process (origination, deal analysis, negotiation of documents, closing and distribution).

- The position requires high level of qualitative and quantitative analysis, in-depth financial modelling and knowledge of the power industry and market dynamics, as well as the regulatory environment across the different jurisdictions in the region.

- Fund raising experience, Developing strategies and setting goals to hit fundraising targets, Fund raising, International Finance, Fund Raising in Global markets, Treasury, Project Financing, Working capital, Debt Financing, Loans & Borrowings, Financial Control, Wealth Management, Fund Management, Bank Limits, FOREX, Commodity hedging, Rating, IPO Process & Listing, Financial Closure, Ensuring synergies for maximizing the efficiency of funds

Required Experience :

- 15+ years of experience in the project and/or structured finance field with a primary specialization in the Power & Renewable sector.

- Public issues, IPO, debt, project finance, financial closure, Private equity, Private placement, QIB

- Dealing with consortium of banks & debt syndication

- Arrangement of working capital, term loans and structured products

- Corporate finance, International finance, business finance

- Must have participated or ideally led Project Financings transactions, M&A or Debt Capital Markets transactions experience would be a plus.

- Experience with review and negotiation of project and financing documents

- Seasoned in deal execution / prior lead transactor experience required

- DCM, M&A and or Equity placement experience a plus

- Strong financial modelling skills.

- Strong analytical skills (qualitative and quantitative).

- Knowledge of the region (local markets).

Required Skills :

- CA/CFA with 15-22 yrs of experience

- Team player, self-motivated person with strong attention to details.

- Excellent written and oral communication

- Organized, multitasker with impeccable timing and management skills

- People preferred from Power/Energy organisations
