Position: VP Operations

Company: A leading company manufacturing process equipment

Location: Surat/Navsari-Gujarat

Exp:14+ Years

Qualification: Bachelor's / master's degree in mechanical engineering or similar from IIT, NIT, BITS Pilani or an institution of similar reputation

Job Responsibilities:

- Developing production schedules to ensure optimal capacity utilization.

- Ensure that production constraints and limitations are resolved timely for on-time delivery to our customers.

- Develop budgets and approve expenditures as per the DoA for plant supplies, materials, machinery, etc.

- Design and deploy plant specific production processes and policies to achieve the expected and defined quality standards.

- Develop and implement MIS / dashboard for effectively tracking and monitoring important aspects such as production, quality, on-time delivery and cost.

- Make decisions regarding inventory requirements, procurement, manpower, work procedures considering the budgetary limitations and time constraints.

- Own, track and manage the Site level high impact goals pertaining to quality, delivery and cost.

- Ensure the team is motivated and engaged to achieve stretched goals.

- Devise mechanisms to effectively monitor performance at individual, team, section and Site level to ensure that the organizational objectives are met.

- Work with a continual improvement mind-set and challenge the conventional / current processes and systems to constantly improve and enhance them.

- Ensure 100% compliance with all defined SOPs, work procedures and systems to get optimal output.

- Seek / provide necessary approvals for setting up new and improved infrastructure / technology required for enhancing performance.

- Monitor the following: 1) Variance in production timelines and costs in the plant 2) Percentage of orders manufactured on-time in the plant 3) Percentage of product volume rejected due to defects total cost of penalties on account of late delivery or poor quality.
