VP - Operational Risk & Internal Control Specialist

JD:

- Undertake Risk Control Assessments (RCA) across all asset classes, documenting results and communicating findings

- Undertake Internal Control/Themed reviews

- Undertake SOX IT testing across all asset classes, documenting results and communicating findings to management

- Monitor the implementation of control deficiencies identified from RCA, Internal Control/Themed Review and SOX related deficiencies and provide guidance to staff on suitable controls to remediate findings.

- Assist with the maintenance and development of the RCA’s templates, and Internal Control/Themed Review templates on an on-going basis ensuring that they remain up to date and adhere to all Standards and Policies (eg. IT & Operations , and Secondary Security Standards).

- Facilitate all asset classes in the undertaking of dispensation / risk acceptance process due to non-compliance with the Group IT & Operations and secondary security standards

- Develop communication and deliver IT Operational Risk training to IT and the business as required;

- Provide expertise to support IT and the business in carrying out effective annual risk assessments;

- Assist with the collection and analysis of operational loss data and with the completion of risk and control assessments;

- Prepare IT Operational Risk Management Information, analyzing the information, identifying areas for attention and ensuring the timely and accurate submission of reports;

- Maintain a good relationship with internal, external audit and regulators and coordinate IT Operational Risk activities with other departments and regions as required;

- Provide IT Operational Risk expertise to project managers of complex projects, where required;

- Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards of ethical behavior
