VP - Monitoring & Surveillance

Responsibilities:

- Will be responsible for assisting in establishing and maintaining a risk-based electronic trade surveillance monitoring programme, covering monitoring of relevant regulatory and exchange requirements.

- Promptly Investigate and clearly communicate issues arising from the trade surveillance monitoring activities, involving Market Compliance officers as required, follow issues through to full resolution with the business lines

- Documenting and reporting findings of alert investigations, including execution of appropriate escalation procedures.

- Preparing reports for management regarding the status of alert investigation & escalation.

- Developing and maintaining relationships with Front Office, Control Room, Middle Office, Market Risk, Product Specialists and local/country compliance etc.

- Ensuring that monitoring procedures and parameters are updated to facilitate change in business and market conditions.

Skills:

- Prior experience in a trade surveillance at least 6-8 Years

- Involvement in the development, implementation or use of a surveillance product (e.g. Actimize) in a similar organization.

- Possesses core understanding in the practical implementation and ongoing maintenance of a global, multi-product Trade Surveillance unit.

- Possesses good technical and practical knowledge in relation to Regulatory expectations and requirements on a firm’s controls set up around Market Abuse, Insider Dealing, and Market misconduct.
