VP - Legal Entity Control/Financial Reporting

Responsibilities

- Financial reporting

- Knowledge of IFRS, USGAAP for reporting purposes

- Balance sheet substantiation and consolidation of accounts

- Quarterly and annually disclosure form reporting (IFRS)

- Managing internal & external audits

- Understand the complete end-to-end process flow from month-end journals to HO reporting and in certain instances to regulatory reports

- Review team tasks & processes on regular basis and contribute to reengineering / efficiency initiatives

- Offer suggestions for process improvement, systems development or enhanced customer service

- Actively inform clients of new developments and provide status updates

- Motivate, mentor, guide and coach the team to raise / maintain performance levels to expected standards

- Handle team conflicts, time management, discipline and general work ethic issues within the team

- Build & maintain strong client relationships, report and agree team performance KPIs with clients.

- Periodically test and reassess controls to ensure they continue to perform and deliver intended results.

Qualification

- CA / MBA with 10+years of experience, of which, at least 4years should be of team management

Experience

- Must have experience in Banking industry or banking client (if worked in shared service centres)

- Must have Financial reporting migrations management experience.

- Expert knowledge in Excel

- Understanding of IFRS / US GAAP / UK GAAP
