VP - KYC - Bank

In this role the VP is primarily responsible for ensuring that all new client relationships have undergone the appropriate client identification screening prior to opening a new account and entering into trading and loan transactions. They will ensure that their team:

- complies with global statutory and regulatory obligations;

- complies with its own Group and company's policies; and

- minimises the risk of sanction breaches and

- minimises the risk to its reputation.

- They will be responsible for ensuring their team meet the company’s requirements regarding KYC policy, anti-money laundering and reputational risk standards are met for client relationships entered into by traders and sales staff. KYC being a very important part of the Client on boarding experience and an Regulatory requirement, the role holder should be senior / mature to manage this process.

- This is a significant leadership role. The incumbent will be responsible for the day to day management of global KYC Refresh team with deep interactions with Senior stakeholders within the function , Business, Compliance and sometimes the end Clients.

Professional/technical experience

- Should posses a detailed understanding of the KYC/ Anti-Money Laundering regulatory environment (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act etc.).

- Previous experience of managing a KYC team within a financial services environment.

- Should have extensive experience leading and managing teams, with a track record of delivering success.

- Should have experience of turning policy into practice around financial crime compliance.

- Should have experience of managing teams for differing processes within an operational environment
