Our Client which is a VC backed High-growth Consumer Internet venture provides information & tools to help people decide which gadget to buy and where to buy it from.

They gets 4.5 million visitors per month, and rank among the top 300 websites in India. Their senior team consists of experienced professionals from IIM and ISB, and they have a team of 30 people based in their offices in Gurgaon (HO) and Chennai.

Their clients include most of the leading eCommerce companies, and electronics & telecom brands. They drive gadget sales of over Rs. 150 crore per annum to their partner merchants.

Studies show that 40% of all electronics buyers in India research online before purchase. Their mission is to become the starting point & the best source for this research.

Role Description:

VP / Head– Sales& B.D.

They recently secured an investment from a VC fund, and are gearing up to make the next leap in terms of product quality as well as revenues. They are looking to bring on-board someone to lead revenue growth and business development efforts.

Business development would involve working with leading electronics brands and retailers (online & offline), to deliver media & technology solutions offered by them, as well as exploring new growth avenues. Solutions delivered will include:

- Options for advertising, including innovative promotions & interesting editorial integrations. Conventional media sales would also form a large part of this

- Performance marketing options for retailers

- Content-driven solutions for brands & retailers; eg – competitive price & catalog intelligence

- Allowing offline retailers to list & promote their offline stores in a location-targeted manner

Desired Skills / Experience

- Experience in and understanding of online / digital businesses

- Prior experience in a sales role; having generated revenues of at least Rs. 5-10 cr p.a. in such role

- A strong level of initiative is a must; role would require single-handedly building out existing and new revenue streams

- Being a graduate from a good b-school would be a plus, though the other factors are more important
