Product Manager-Head - Debit Cards Product and Business

A. Position Purpose :

The Debit Cards is a senior product and business management position responsible for the P & L , development of product plans, strategies, tactics for Debit cards in Branch & Business Banking (BBB ) . The overall objective of this role is to drive Gross spend Volume, Fee Revenue and to deepen client relations via meaningful value propositions connected to the Debit Card products/features.

B. Position Responsibilities :

Sr. Key Responsibilities

1. Own and deliver Debit cards P & L. Similarly own and manage ATM business financials.

2. Drive and implement the debit card product roadmap and execution elements across both value proposition and revenue opportunities. coveting all segments from mass to insignia.

3. Grow current gross volume of 1,100 crs , 56 crs fee revenue and 34 crs cost in line with budgets set by enhancing the value proposition of the product, building new payment flows and building meaningful partnerships and branches.

4. Develop an executable framework for driving usage and spend growth encompassing strategic and tactical initiatives across merchant categories, payment methods and key calendar events.

5. Ensure requisite prioritization and execution of in-flight workstreams and projects. Continue to provide central oversight and support on all local and regional deliverables and initiatives.

6. Manage Network relationships (MasterCard, Visa & Rupay).

7. Act as a champion and role model for innovation and change by developing a product roadmap and executing against this roadmap with technology to ensure Bank Debit cards take a competitive position

8. Form and use deep understanding of the merchant-based payment trends in the industry with focus on the role of debit cards, customer behavior, latest technology, key players & disruptors

9. Create opportunities with Mastercard and Visa to develop and execute relevant, new payment capabilities as consumer behavior and technology trends change, such as the development of payments tokenization & contact less payments

10. Collaborate with other product/segments teams to introduce innovative new propositions that leverage multiple product capabilities to drive strategic initiatives to grow liabilities & fee

11. Lead and develop the pipeline and execution of strategic partnerships for Debit cards across the regions (Fintechs, travel portals , Airlines, e-commerce partners etc.) to expand Bank's reach and distribution.

C. Qualifications and Experience Required :

Qualifications : Essential Technology Graduate and / or Management Graduate

Preferred Experience : Essential Minimum 12- 15 years of experience in delivering projects for / in Financial institutions.

- Understanding of the banking environment.

- Managed and delivered large , regulatory projects

Preferred Consulting Skills viz. Business analysis, Project Management and Change Management.

D. Competency Requirements:

- Well versed with software development methodologies

- Proficient in MS Office tools

- Project Management Skills

- Business Analysis, ability to elicit requirements from stakeholders to gain better understanding of the projects.

- Ability to facilitate cross functional and cross party meetings to resolve complex issues

- A strong communicator with excellent co-ordination, relationship and team management skills.

- A good conflict resolver.

- A good people manager
