Qualification : CA's or MBA from Premium Institutes.

Experience : 8 +years post qualification.

The FM&A team brings together analytics, P&L, and balance sheet & capital management under a single finance function. Drawing on the skills and capabilities in these functions the tools developed and connections with the business, treasury, risk and finance functions - FM&A is able to provide broad-based commercial insights to Institutional stakeholders to support decision-making educate and challenge and influence outcomes in line with the Division's strategic goals.

- This role will be responsible for analysing and driving performance outcomes for the Institutional business.

- The role will draw on previous industry experience as well as a deep understanding of internal and external factors influencing business performance to ensure optimal allocation of resources is embedded in decision-making to improve returns and build on the strength and diversity of our portfolio.

Key stakeholders of the role include Finance, Treasury and Risk leadership teams; as well as Heads of business units, Credit & Capital Management and Group FP&A.

Accountabilities :

Financial :

- Understand business drivers and the impact of industry / regulatory developments on performance

- Ensure risks and opportunities are clearly identified and appropriate stakeholder consideration given

- Provide senior management with accurate, timely and relevant analysis, insights & reporting, and lift internal transparency of information to facilitate optimal resource allocation

- Drive the strategic agenda and support senior stakeholders to achieve performance targets

Stakeholder :

- Build high-value internal networks, with a focus on business units and Enablement & Central Functions; and participate in industry consultations to advance the effective operation of the team

- Draw on stakeholder relationships and industry experience to identify opportunities for improvement in the broader strategic objectives

- Strive for exceptional stakeholder service to develop and uphold the reputation of the team

- Develop customised delivery methodologies and strategies to improve customer experience (while managing associated risks)

Process :

- Drive performance and productivity improvement through continuous process innovation

- Improve reporting and analytical efficiency by standardising models and participating in systems improvements projects to guarantee timely and accurate delivery of results

- Re-design/streamline key financial reporting packs to accommodate business requirements

- Progressively embed rigorous MI strategies into all areas of the business

- Rationalisation of current reports, reducing of non-value add reports

- Monitor competitor performance and make recommendations

- Drive productivity improvements and re-engineering initiatives, and drive best practice cost management approaches through the business

- Be part of the business growth strategy

People :

- Promote opportunities for knowledge sharing and skill building across and within different groups of the organisation

- Provide growth and development opportunities that promote and sustain finance leadership and global finance technical capabilities

Risk/compliance/behaviours :

- Compliance with service guidelines, laws and regulations

Skills, Knowledge & Experience :

- Advanced tertiary degree in business or actuarial studies with CA/CFA/MBA preferred

- 8+ years of banking and financial services experience in a finance, risk or treasury role (Institutional Banking experience an advantage)

- Strong analytical capabilities and proven problem solving skills

- Superior commercial acumen, communication and relationship management skills essential

- Comprehensive understanding of Basel III capital and liquidity standards an advantage (candidates without experience in APRA regulations will be required to become conversant)
