Responsibilities:

- As the Vice President of Engineering at Dice, you will play a pivotal role in leading our engineering team to drive innovation, scalability, and excellence in product development. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire engineering function, from architecture and development to deployment and maintenance. Your primary objective will be to ensure the continuous improvement of our platform, aligning with business objectives and market demands.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:

- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

- Develop and execute a roadmap for product development, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes, tools, and methodologies.

Team Management:

- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and accountability.

- Set clear objectives and performance expectations for team members, conducting regular performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback.

- Promote a diverse and inclusive work environment, where every team member feels valued and empowered to contribute to the company's success.

Product Development:

- Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation and deployment.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance, to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

- Drive innovation and efficiency in product development processes, leveraging emerging technologies and best practices.

Technology Leadership:

- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software engineering, and advocate for their adoption where applicable.

- Drive technical excellence and architectural integrity across all engineering initiatives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of the platform.

- Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the engineering team, encouraging experimentation and exploration of new technologies.

Qualification:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven track record of success in leading engineering teams and delivering complex software products in a fast-paced, agile environment.

- Strong technical expertise in software development, with proficiency in programming languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and influence cross-functional teams.

- Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for driving innovation and excellence in product development.

- Experience in the fintech or SaaS industry is a plus.

- The ideal candidate should have a combination of technical expertise and excellence in Java, React.js, and React Native development within the organization.
