JD : Employee Relation Manager
The Employee Relations Manager (India) works closely with Heads of HR, the HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and Legal to deal with Employee Relations (ER) related issues for India, directly managing specific cases as agreed with Head of HR (e.g. proactive case management, contractual terms and conditions, performance management, policy development, investigations, grievances, disciplinary issues, restructuring, redundancy, employment litigation preparations) across India.
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for resolving and in specific cases managing end to end complex employee relations cases (e.g. redundancies, grievances, disciplinary, etc ).
The incumbent is required to : Manage all employee relations issues end to end, including complex performance issues, complex behavior issues, disciplinary actions etc.
- Use appropriate investigation techniques, good judgement and balanced consideration of all available facts, information & policies to identify & recommend probable options Provide final resolution to all employee relations issues either independently or in consultation with other HR areas like Legal, HR Governance & Internal controls, HR Business Partner team & HR Head Prepare case papers & other necessary documentation for each ER case.
- Interfaces with statutory employment bodies including representation at the same, when required. Deep expertise to laws, regulations and processes related to employment matters in India. Proactively update and educate HRBPs and line managers on best ER practices across India.
- Develop and deliver value added education programs for HRBPs and line managers to deal with critical ER related issues. Build external networks across India and be viewed both internally and externally as an expert in the ER field.
Qualfication:
- Undergraduate degree in HR related subject.
- Post graduate in HR related subject preferred.
Experience : 10 yrs - 12 years preferred.
- Both English and Hindi are required languages with the additional language of Marathi being ideal. Strong documentation and writing skills required as are possessing high levels of influencing skills and stakeholder managment.
- Preferred experience includes working with MNCs in a matrix environment. Position covers all Company employees in India, all entities
