VP/Director/Head - Finance - eCommerce/FinTech - CA

Position Overview :

The VP / Dir / Head Finance will be a member of the top executive team and will serve as a partner to the founders and investors and assist in making informed business decisions. The candidate will establish and implement a rigorous financial management system and requisite processes that will lead to world-class governance and oversight. The person will lead the Finance organization, establish the long-term financial vision for the company and drive profitability and cash flow metrics on an on-going basis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build a strong foundation for business growth, achieving the same in actionable steps as follows:

- Establish sound financial practices and control mechanisms as per business and legal/ regulatory requirements and support profitable growth.

- Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.

- Support business in generating SaaS metrics like capacity utilization, cloud spends, revenue realization and so on.

- Engage with all stakeholders of business through establishing checks and balances at each level and maintain/ update budgets and financial model for the business.

- Oversee day to day accounting processes, practices and operations. Implement and enhance billing and accounting systems, including ERP software.

- Oversee month end consolidation across all subsidiaries and domestic/ overseas operations,

- Closing and reporting of P&L and balance sheet

- Support sales on contracts/ contracting procedures.

- Perform ongoing analysis of all data sets (Eg: Revenue and margins by product, territory, customer clusters and other views) and track/ report key business and financial metrics. Monitor budget vs. actual variances on a monthly basis and report to management on the same, with suggestions for improvements.

- Lead all statutory compliances, audit, and taxation matters, including direct and indirect taxes and international taxation. Oversee all return filing for compliance purposes in various jurisdictions.

- Manage working capital and treasury, and liaise with banks.

- Work closely with investors on fund raising plans and support presentations/ pitches to Prospective investors.

- Unlock the total potential of the business through identifying and acting upon short term and long term opportunities to improve revenues and profitability. At the same time, guard the organization from various financial, regulatory, legal, and business risks.

Experience & Knowledge:

- The candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant, and atleast 10 year plus of post qualification work experience

- Hand on with representation of cases before various statutory bodies (GST, IT, PF etc.)

- Ability to work in a very fast-paced, constantly evolving, team environment

- Knowledge of FDI and other FEMA provisions, must have handled ODI application independently

- Must have handled at least one round of funding and aware of all RBI / FEMA compliances and reporting

- Prior experience in SaaS/ B2B Tech/ Ecommerce/ Fintech spaces will be an advantage

- Sound exposure to ERP and Accounting systems implementation and demonstrated experience of at least one full implementation cycle.

- Thorough knowledge of US reporting and taxation matters and knowledge of Ind AS, US GAAP and IFRS is an added advantage.
