VP - Development Manager - Bank

Our client is leading International Bank, their products and services include advisory, financing, prime services, research and analysis, securities services, trading and sales and transaction banking. They are looking for a new senior role into development, Owner of this role will strengthen the existing IT development team in the finance regulatory function and work closely with stakeholders and team.

Job Responsibilities:

The candidate will strengthen the existing IT development Team in the Finance Regulatory function and work closely with project managers, business users, development, testing team both regionally and globally across all parts of the bank (front to back office).

- Develop and implement IT solutions to meet business users requirements.

- Play role as a developer manager, overseeing core staff and third-party vendor resources

- Out of office hour escalation support on production or development/testing on exception basis.

- Follow development standard and guidelines to ensure good quality of delivery.

- Prepare required project related documentation.

- Work together with BA, testing leads/managers and support team closely on development and maintenance projects.

Essential required in profile:

Essential

- 10+ years of technical design, development, administration experience across MS SQL Server 2005/2008 (Integration Services 2005/2008, Reporting Services 2005/2008) and Oracle 10g 11g, administration or development.

- Understanding of data warehousing / data mart, ETL techniques and approaches.

- Strong understanding of SQL, and/or PLSQL, relational databases, optimisation, indexing and performance tuning

- Experience of designing and building SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages and automated SSRS reporting solutions

- Accuracy and timeliness of delivering solutions using coding standards and practices

- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with proven ability to handle multiple threads at one time

- Proven emphasis on quality with experience of unit testing and test driven development

- Strong problem solving skills.

- Ability to collaborate and influence individuals from all levels within the IT community.
