RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensuring all the trade economics, pay-off profiles (complex structure payoffs) and pricing factors are correctly captured in the product valuation. Identifying material risks with respect to modelling and booking methodology deficiencies as well as discrepancies with the trade documentation. Proposing booking model and documentation amendments and co-ordinating the implementation of enhancements.

The Exotic Trade Review team has very comprehensive exposure to almost all derivative asset classes. The team is globally responsible for the review of the following exotic asset classes:

- Credit Derivatives

- Equity Derivatives

- Commodities

- FX

- IRP

- European Medium Term Notes(EMTN) / Private Investor Product Group (PIPG)

- Structured Warrants, Structured Certificates

- Bank Debt

- Hybrids

The candidate will be expected to gain thorough knowledge of exotic trade review function, risk management control, team objectives within first 6 months. The candidate should be able to assume team manager role from technical leadership perspective over a period of 9-12 months

Preferred Qualifications

- Strong exotic derivatives product knowledge (experience in more than one asset class is a great advantage).

- Ability to break down and fully understand the complex transactions and their payoff formulas

- Ability to understand the booking systems/calculators

- Very strong financial & operational risk awareness

- Attention to details

- Playing an active role in RCSA reviews

- Developing and managing technical talent

- Strong risk management skills

- Drive key projects/take lead in resolving issues which affects global teams

- Participating on global calls and guiding the discussion to arrive at strategic solutions

- Ensuring adequate coverage in discussion with regional managers

- Leading recruitment effort in conjunction with HCM and taking care of resourcing needs as part of team expansion

- Good communication skills are essential. Ability to clearly elaborate the issues is crucial as significant part of the job is explaining traders/quants booking and documentation problems.
