VP - Debt Syndication - Inv Banking

Company: Startup boutique investment banking firm.

Location: Mumbai

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Project Appraisal : Guiding and leading a team undertaking appraisal of projects involving financial, technical, economic & risk analysis and evaluation of proposals.

- Syndication : Representation to lenders and making presentations on the projects, interacting with various banks, holding lenders meets for allocation and distribution of debt and execution of common documents.

- Relationship Management: Handling the entire gamut of pre and post sanction activities including project evaluation/appraisal, finalization of term sheets/legal documents and negotiation thereof with the clients, assistance in security creation until the loan disbursement stage.

- Co-ordination : With lenders / bankers from the proposal filing stage till security creation including alignment of terms and conditions of sanction to facilitate common documentation, with credit rating agencies and with clients to ensure the entire deal is closed successfully.

- Compliance : To make sure the legal documentation and compliance of statutory requirements are in place

- Deal execution : Evaluation of term sheets / loan agreements, structuring the transactions, finalization of information memorandum, presentations to lenders, spreadsheet modelling for evaluation of returns, coordination on clients behalf for legal / financial due diligence and overall business advisory.

Person Requirements :

- Good understanding of the financial markets and good grasp of financial modelling skills.

- Must have through understanding about various products in lending market such as term loan, project finance, working capital loan, FCCB, ECB, NCD etc..

- Should have excellent working relationships with banks and financial institutions

- Expertise in coordination with banks and clients

- Ability to lead and direct a team of professionals

- Proven ability to work under stress

- Must be a self-starter and go-getter

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Should be an expert in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

Qualifications & Experience:

- MBA (Finance) from a reputed B-School or Qualified CA

- 7-10 years of strong relevant work experience with prior experience in raising debt from banks and institutions.
