We are India's leading digital ecosystem connecting farmers, local retailers and Agri-input producers. It is the world's most downloaded app for farmers - combining artificial intelligence and the expertise of leading research institutions around the globe. Crop Doctor to diagnose crop problems, get recommendations about treatments and the best suited products at their local store.We sell Agri-Inputs via our e-commerce platform (mobile app) to retailers. As working capital is always a restriction for retailers, a credit option is crucial to increase our Top-level revenue growth. Plantix does not underwrite itself, but works with 3rd party possibilities either with Fintech platforms or directly lenders to provide credit to their retailers.

Responsibilities:

- VP Credit is responsible for the overall credit function of our organisation

- Establishes internal controls and processes for credit onboarding, assessments, restructuring, monitoring, and recovery

- Works in strong partnership with our mobile product development team

- Responsible to design and expand the digital future of our credit products

- Negotiate credit terms and agreements with lenders and/or Fintech platforms

- Reports into our EVP Finance and has team leadership function

Skills

- 8+ years of experience in Fintech Lending

- Analytical, numerically-driven and takes a prudent approach to credit risk management.

- Extensive knowledge + Hands-on with lending procedures and products

- Knowledge on RBI regulation relating to NBFC and ensure compliance with them and Lenders

- Thinks digital and has a good understanding of digital products

- Customer-centric thinking

- Startup experience mandatory

- Excellent written and communication skills in English

- Languages like Telugu, Kannada, Tamil is a plus
