About the Role :

- The successful candidate will manage a team (8-10 staff) with Responsibility, Ownership & Accountability of the Hedging Service Line Function in Corporate Financial Control vertical in GFS.

- This role provides the successful candidate with an opportunity to gain a thorough knowledge of the structuring and cross-border tax considerations of a leading global financial services organisation. The candidate will develop key relationships with a wide variety of teams including Group Treasury, Regional finance and tax teams, Tax Advisory and the Corporate Centre finance teams. The candidate will play a key role in the success of a highly dynamic finance team.

- The role also requires strong accounting skill set with very good process understanding and risk management to manage large complex global processes. The candidate should have the mind-set to challenge the status quo with the intention to improve the financial control framework and better service delivery to downstream stakeholders.

Location : Gurgaon

You will be responsible for :

- Manage the Hedging Service Line function in GFS

- Hedging service line comprises of Hedge Accounting for NIFO and Interest Rate including the Tax Compliance and FX hedging for the Group

- Ensure hedge documents and policies are in accordance with the accounting standards

- Daily monitoring of hedge designations

- Review and substantiation of FCTR and TOFA related Tax balances on a monthly basis

- Ensure that the daily FX Hedging is being executed as per Group FX Policy

- Support and advice to the Group Treasury Transactions Group and Tax Advisory on the FX implications for proposed transactions

- Advising Australian and offshore finance teams on FX translation considerations and processes

- Preparation/Review of FX calculations and work-papers for income tax return

- Implementing and maintaining key financial controls for FX and Tax

- Develop a strong business understanding over time and use it to provide context to accounting and financial matters.

- Demonstrate capability and willingness to be "Hands-on"

- Demonstrate established competency in planning and organising - needs to be a well organised self starter who can manage a range of competing priorities and projects.

- Demonstrate innovation with focus to improve process - enhance efficiencies and add value, ensuring quality consciousness in all aspects of the team.

- Involvement in migration of any additional finance responsibilities which includes developing and maintaining process maps and supporting documentation for all finance functions managed by the team

- Training and developing new starters, Leading and managing the team, and doing effective appraisals.

- The role requires engagement with stakeholders working across multiple time zones, hence the flexibility to work across regular and early / late hours is important.

To be successful in this role you will have :

- Postgraduate accounting qualification, CA, MBA(premier institute) or CPA

- Minimum 10-13 years of relevant post qualification including 5 + years of people management experience.

- Willingness to travel overseas.

- Willing to work in shifts.
