About our Client - Our client is a leading Investment Bank with strong presence across America, Asia Pacific and the emerging markets. As part of their Asset Services business in their Investment Banking Operations team - they seek an exceptional leader who's a proven expert in Corporate Actions to lead and grow a team in Chennai.

Job Description - Reporting into the Director you will be responsible for:

- Taking end to end ownership of the UK Asset Services team across all functions within the corporate action event life cycle.

- Responsible for transitioning of any new process within Asset Services area from formulating strategy, hiring people, working in partnership with the various global locations.

- Working closely with the upstream processing teams, change management team, risk and control team and of course the primary business such as Desks, Traders, Sales,etc.

- Taking care of Business Continuity, Audits, Transformation, Operational Risk & Control and people related initiatives.

- Developing staff through strong engagement and Training Need Analysis

The Successful Candidate - You will have atleast 12 years experience in investment banking operations/ custody operations/ securities operations with at least 9 years of experience in Corporate Actions. You will have a complete understanding of Global Equities Securities markets, across Voluntary and Mandatory Events.You come with strong domain knowledge of corporate actions with an understanding of the criticality of this role given the nature of responsibility and implications of the decisions that are made in this capacity. Additionally, you possess strong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment, and solid organizational and interpersonal skills. You have the proven ability to function effectively in a multi cultural environment.Your drive will push you to uncover opportunities to improve service process, minimize operational risk and reduce costs and are comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders and complex situations.Very strong English written & verbal skills required with an ability to converse clearly with onshore and offshore staff.
