Role -
The Projects focus is on requirements for APAC Risk from global, regional or divisional programs / projects / initiatives. You will be involved or support requirements for APAC Risk in different stages of project lifecycles. The Business Support team provides wide-ranging support for the APAC CRO organization and requests made of it from CRO, CRO COO and APAC Division.
- Project coordination and support for projects end to end.
- Hands-on gathering, organizing and analyzing data/business requirements (Business Analysis)
- Lead/support in the preparation of high quality deliverables
- Ensure timely blocking issue and issue resolution
- Work across more than one project at different stages of the lifecycle from initiation to post implementation
- Assist/contribute in business planning processes, activities and presentations such as for rotation, RRP updates, headcount forecasts etc
- Preparation of management information such as meeting packs
- Revert to requests for information from key internal partners
- Partner/support colleagues in APAC CRO / CRO COO team to complete urgent deliverables
- Potentially support of the core first-line operational risk and control processes, such as: the RCSA cycle; internal controls documentation, design, mapping & testing; internal operational risk incident analysis, tracking & reporting; out-sourcing supervision, etc.
- External incidents review read-across and analysis
- Operational risk flags development, monitoring and reporting
- Tracking and reporting on internal and external audit deliverables across CRO
- Support, development and maintenance of policies and procedures
- Good citizenship program involvement, review and monitoring and metrics
- Preparation and delivery, as assigned, of presentation to management, governance bodies and others
- Ad hoc projects / tasks to support APAC CRO FRCO regarding controls and controls environment
Qualifications :
You are educated to degree level, with minimum 10+ years working in a professional environment.
- You have internal control focused experience in one or more of the following areas: operational risk management, external / internal audit, regulatory compliance, trading controls, financial reporting or product control.
- You have demonstrable experience in one or more of the following: development or maintenance of risk management control frameworks; performance of internal controls reviews / audits; governance and policy frameworks; audit findings management.
- You have experience/exposure in projects either performing or supporting the roles of project management / PMO / business analyst
- You have a deep understanding of global financial markets is required with deep understanding of broader Risk function. Specific experience / knowledge of Asia-Pacific is useful.
- You are well-adapted individual, self-motivated, delivery focused with the ability to work independently and multi-task.
- You are able to rapidly grasp, apply and explain detailed technical concepts.
- You will be required to produce high quality work, dynamic environment and to tight deadlines.
- You should have a professional manner with good interpersonal and strong communication skills and be able to build relationships with a diverse group of both technical and non-technical resources.
- You have familiarity and experience of the regulatory landscape and the changes impacting Foreign Banking Organizations would be useful but not necessary.
- You have strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint are compulsory.
- You should have excellent English oral and written skills, including excellent presentation skills.
